A positive experience overall, with one minor issue starting the car. I don't recall the problem. I called support, but couldn't get through to an advisor in time. In the meantime, I found the solution and was able to get going! The steps need to be explained more clearly, especially since I don't use this type of vehicle (a van) all the time!

Customer service is completely unresponsive. I'm still waiting for my complaint to be processed two months later! It's a disgrace.

I am a satisfied user. I am a self-employed tradesperson and I find this service very convenient. Given my CSR policy and my company's carbon footprint, I chose not to have a company vehicle. City Drop vehicles are clean and well-maintained. The telephone support in case of problems is quick and professional. One area for improvement would be to have additional tie-down points on the ceiling and in the middle of the floor for securing the straps. Another area for improvement concerns the deposit for regular and/or professional users: a one-year registration would be helpful to avoid exceeding bank limits.

I booked a 5m³ van from Aix-en-Provence to Dijon, and it was perfect. The vehicle collection system is simple and intuitive; everything is explained in the app during the booking process. The van was in good condition, and everything went smoothly. After returning the van, my deposit was refunded within two days—no problems at all. For the price, it's a really good deal; I recommend it to everyone!

I do not recommend this service, which cancels the rental vehicle at the last minute.

The claims process is opaque and completely biased in favor of the company. After returning the vehicle, a claim was filed, and the €2,500 deposit was immediately debited without pausing the process, despite my written objection. The customer is given no real time to arrange a counter-assessment or make an informed decision. The amounts retained are based on a simple estimate, not on actual repairs, and are compounded by disproportionate additional fees (processing fees, vehicle immobilization, etc.), some of which are questionable in light of their own terms and conditions. The debit is processed very quickly, but the refund of the overpayment takes several days, leaving the bank account in a difficult position and generating additional charges. Customer service systematically hides behind the terms and conditions without any attempt at self-reflection or seeking an amicable solution. The concept sounds interesting on paper, but the customer experience is extremely disappointing as soon as a problem arises. I strongly advise against using them if you want a transparent and balanced relationship.

Because the reviews for City Drop are often so disastrous, I'm sharing my experience in the hope that it helps some people get a clearer picture: - indeed, the vehicle pick-up point was changed 48 hours beforehand to a location much less easily accessible, even downright difficult compared to the one I had chosen. So you have to be flexible. But as compensation, City Drop offered me a free half-day rental extension, which was incredibly helpful in allowing me to rearrange my plans. (I was also offered a small discount on the rental price, which I never actually received). And indeed, once I arrived at the location, it took me 50 minutes to unlock the van (sometimes you have to check your phone's Bluetooth settings, sometimes it just doesn't work). And of course, it was impossible to reach anyone by phone. But it finally worked, and the van was spotless, clean, and had a full tank of gas. Returning the car was fine, however, relocking it was a breeze. So, to sum up, the value for money is unbeatable, especially for a one-way trip, which was my case. But allow plenty of time when picking up the vehicle, don't be in a rush to avoid a meltdown, preferably be super zen by nature, maybe even a level 4 meditation master, and ideally have someone with you. If you meet all these criteria, it's a really good deal.

Truck rented for a move from Paris to Valence in a dangerous condition: broken right turn signal, ineffective windshield wipers in the rain, underinflated tires, and an extremely dirty interior. Driving at night was very stressful, with a vehicle clearly not up to standard. Customer service was contacted during the rental period: the only response was to do the repairs ourselves. After complaining, we received a €60 refund out of €400, without any attempt at self-reflection, and with unprofessional responses. A complete lack of professionalism and consideration for customer safety. Avoid at all costs.
