Poorly maintained trucks with opaque windshields that are impossible to clean. Very high additional costs. For me, that's it.

I booked a 17m² van with Citydrop on January 14th. Despite a confirmed reservation, I was unable to access the vehicle due to technical issues: I couldn't add my driver's license via the website or app, and I couldn't pay the deposit, which permanently blocked the rental. Since these problems were beyond my control, no service was provided. After contacting customer service, I received no refund, which is unacceptable given the lack of service. To date, this situation remains unresolved, leading me to consider legal action to obtain the refund I am owed. I absolutely do not recommend Citydrop.

However, when leaving a public review, the least you can do is be objective and accurately reflect the situation. After checking with our customer service department, it appears that our teams contacted you approximately two hours after the scheduled start of your rental, without having received any prior notification from you regarding the problems encountered on the app or website. Had we been informed beforehand, this type of issue could have been resolved very quickly by our teams. We gave you the necessary time so that you could still benefit from your vehicle, and it was ultimately our customer service department that canceled your reservation after the scheduled return date. We would like to remind you that hundreds of bookings are made on City-drop every day, and tens of thousands of customers use our app without encountering this type of problem. We understand your frustration, but remain convinced that a quicker response from our teams would have allowed us to find a solution immediately. The City-drop Team

I rented a City-Drop truck for a long-distance move. The vehicle broke down on the A6 motorway due to a serious ABS braking system failure, 300 km from my destination. Assistance was difficult to reach, no immediate solution was offered, and we were left to arrange the repairs and any subsequent arrangements. This resulted in a second trip of over 600 km, additional expenses (tolls, fuel), and a week without access to my belongings. Despite submitting all the requested documentation, City-Drop is refusing to fully reimburse the actual expenses incurred, which were solely due to this breakdown, contrary to what customer service had assured me. I am currently taking steps with the relevant authorities. This is a very disappointing experience considering the safety and customer service issues.

Renting a 12m² apartment from Versailles to Bordeaux, no problems with the vehicle or the return of the deposit, which was refunded in 5 days. I would use them again for any future moves.

This is the second time we've rented from City Drop, and it's really efficient and economical. Perfect for one-way rentals. Everything is done quickly because with the app, there's no counter, no surprises like a "similar vehicle," no queues—it's fast and efficient. On my second rental, I had a problem with a missing spare tire upon return. It almost cost me a good chunk of my deposit, but they were very constructive in resolving the issue and even arranged for me to put the "found" spare tire in another nearby vehicle afterward, rather than incurring shipping costs. So, even when things go wrong, they're constructive, attentive, and efficient. A word of caution, though: if you find a tire in the cargo area, don't throw it away; it's probably a spare. It's not the best place for it, but keep it.

A very bad experience. The agent gave no explanation about opening the truck to retrieve the keys. I waited two hours to speak to an agent, which significantly delayed the move. That same morning, the truck I had reserved was broken down; I received €100 in compensation. I think if everything had been properly explained, I would have been satisfied, as there were no further problems.
